Al Jazeera Media Network said yesterday that it has obtained the ISO-9001:2015 certification for its Human Resources and Administration Division’s quality management system. The certification was granted upon meeting requirements of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) following an audit and assessment of the division’s procedures and documents by the British Standards Institution (BSI) certification body, Al Jazeera Media Network said in a statement.
Britain’s ambassador to Qatar Ajay Sharma and Jamal Dalli, representative of the BSI, attended the event on January 28 at the Al Jazeera headquarters in Doha for the official presentation of the ISO certificate. In his speech at the event, Al Jazeera Media Network’s acting director general Dr Mostefa Souag underlined the vital role of the Human Resources and Administration Division in the network’s daily functioning. Khalid Johar, executive director of Human Resources and Administration, thanked the division staff for their efforts and dedication to improving services provided by the division for which the ISO 9001:2015 certificate was acquired. He highlighted how the network applies human resources and administrative best practices in order to improve its employees’ performance and provide them with resources to succeed at their jobs. Sharma expressed enthusiasm for Al Jazeera Media Network’s commitment to continuous improvement of the Human Resources and Administration Division’s management system. Al Jazeera had previously obtained ISO certificates for its Information Security and Safety.
